Didn't we tell you? Once piece of furniture, and so many uses. So if you're about to go sofa shopping in the near future, take a look at these different designs and pick one which suits your needs.
A sectional couch typically consists of several individual pieces of furniture which are then put together. These pieces are center sections without arms, left and right sections, ottoman, chaise, corner sections and extension pieces to make the couch larger. It is not necessary that you have to use all these sections. Curved sectional sofas is just right for a large room like a living room, den or even a lobby. It gives the room an air of understated elegance and glamor and you can decorate the rest of the room, by keeping the couch as a focal point. You can choose different types of upholstery material from jacquard, damask, velvet and chenille. You can even choose a curved leather sectional sofa to give your dining room a contemporary look.
Traditional styles use two or three cushions for both seat and back. If you're just replacing the seat cushions, you have a few choices. If the back of the sofa is one piece - without attached or loose pillow-backs - you can use as many seat cushions as you want. One full length seat cushion lends a sleek, modern look to an older style. Just use the same fabric as you use for the sofa slipcover to make a cover for the cushion. If you like a more traditional feel, use two or three evenly sized cushions on the seating platform.
